ISD’s Katherine Keneally speaks to The Washington Post on rising political violence in the US

Katherine Keneally, ISD’s director of threat analysis and prevention, was featured in a recent Washington Post article examining the rise in political violence following the shooting of two Minnesota state legislators.

She shared ISD’s data on U.S.-based violent incidents and plots in 2024, noting that ISD tracked 58 events involving 61 individuals tied to online radicalization and extremist movements. Seven of these incidents targeted politicians or government facilities.
